How to Vertualize your PC

Rate this Post:

Hello friends, we are all aware about our personnel computer (PC) which can allow us to do the multiple tasks, playing games and surf the internet and more..

But some times it can not run some of the applications those are legacy in nature and are not compatible with Hardware/Software. Some of the example cases are listed below
  • You cannot run some of the 32Bit applications on 64Bit Operating System.
  • Your PC may not be compatible with some specific OS to install.
  • You can not try a new variant of OS with your PC, because all the applications  those are already installed in old OS will be lost.
  • You can not run the multiple OS simultaneously.
So, how can you run these incompatible applications, legacy programs and multiple OS (even simultaneously, it depends upon your system storage and RAM) on you own and already purchased PC, with out going for new one.??!!

Don't worry, the one and only solution for all the above said problems is "VIRTUALIZATION TECHNOLOGY ". Yes, you can do what ever you want (mostly any thing, if your PC has some basic specifications for virtualization) by running virtualization software on your PC.

Here is different types of virtualization techniques those are available to virtualize your PC according to the requirement and software that provides
  1. Application level Virtualization (DOS Box)
  2. Environmental level Virtualization (Cygwin)
  3. Flat-form level Virtualization (VMWare, VitualBox)
  4. Hardware assisted Virtualization (VMWare/VitualBox with some hardware support)
Right now we have the hope, that we can run the Legacy and Multiple OS on our PC. In the next post we will see that how can we use virtualization software and how to install and run it on our PC.
