In the previous post we saw a simple method to reset the windows log-in password with a windows7 DVD.

Now let us see one more simple and easy method to reset the password by using a CD or a Boot-able Disk

Method-2 :

• Download  Windows Log-in  Password Reset.iso from here (Direct)  or here (Mirror)
• Prepare a Boot-able CD with this image file or create Boot-able USB (How to Prepare Boot-able USB) and place this image file in the appropriate location (in Windows folder).
• Boot from Cd or USB and press enter to Boot

• It will list all the installed windows OS in your computer. Select the windows partition  in which you want to reset the password by typing 1 or 2 or 3 then press enter. (Default is 1, if you have only one windows OS installed in your PC)

• Again press enter
• Press enter again to edit the user data and password
• Now select the account for which you want to reset the password by typing user ID as shown below then press enter

• Type 1 and then press enter to clear the old password for that user account

• Type q and then press enter to quit the reset mode
• Type y and then press enter to write the changes back to disk
• Type reboot -f to restart the computer.

The password for that account has been deleted and it is empty now. You can log-in to that account and set a new password that's it.
